A city appears here once it has enough live listings for a median to mean anything. Publishing a figure drawn from a handful of homes would be worse than publishing nothing.

Every figure is the median monthly rent across live listings in that city, posted directly by owners on Razorent. The median rather than the average, because one ₹4,00,000 penthouse should not move the number a normal tenant sees. The “typical range” is the 25th to 75th percentile — half of all listings sit inside it.
Lease listings are excluded, since a lump-sum lease carries a token monthly rent that would drag every median toward zero. A city is only published once it has at least five live listings, and the sample size is shown next to every number so you can judge it yourself. Snapshots are frozen monthly and never recomputed.
